This policy forms part of the Terms & Agreement. It applies to every user of the 4bizs platform, to every site and portal published through it, and to anyone you invite into your organisation. Its purpose is narrow: keep the platform safe and available for every business running on it.
1. General conduct
You must not use 4bizs to:
- break any law that applies to you, your customers or your goods;
- infringe intellectual property, publicity or privacy rights;
- publish content that is defamatory, harassing, or that incites violence or hatred;
- publish sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers a child;
- deceive people about who you are, who you represent, or what they are buying;
- impersonate another business, brand or person, or misrepresent an affiliation.
2. Platform integrity
You must not:
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the platform without our prior written authorisation;
- attempt to access data belonging to another tenant, or to bypass authentication, entitlement or tenancy isolation;
- interfere with service to any user, including through denial-of-service or resource exhaustion;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the platform except where that right cannot be excluded by law;
- circumvent rate limits, quotas or metering, or use automation to create accounts or businesses in bulk;
- resell or sublicense access to the platform without a written reseller or partner agreement.
Genuine security research is welcome. Report findings privately to cwang@digitrend.ca and give us reasonable time to remediate before disclosing. We will not pursue researchers who act in good faith and do not access, alter or exfiltrate other customers’ data.
3. Content, messaging and marketing
- Do not send unsolicited commercial messages. Marketing sent through the platform must comply with Canada’s anti-spam legislation and the equivalent rules where your recipients are.
- Maintain your own records of consent and honour unsubscribe requests promptly.
- Do not upload malware, or content designed to phish credentials or payment details.
- Do not publish claims about a product, a property, a service or a price that you cannot substantiate.
- Where you publish AI-generated content, you remain responsible for its accuracy.
4. Trade, customs and shipping
- Do not use the trade capabilities to move goods you are not lawfully entitled to import or export, including sanctioned, embargoed or otherwise restricted goods.
- Do not misdeclare the nature, origin, quantity or value of goods to a customs authority.
- Treat AI-assisted tariff classification as a proposal for a qualified person to confirm. You are responsible for what is filed in your name.
- Comply with carrier rules on dangerous goods, restricted articles and packaging.
5. Payments and financial conduct
- Do not process payments for another business through your merchant account, or otherwise engage in transaction laundering.
- Do not process transactions you know or suspect to be fraudulent, or that fall outside the business category you registered.
- Do not use the platform to evade tax, launder money or finance terrorism.
- Card network rules, payment provider terms and applicable financial regulation apply to you in addition to this policy.
6. Regulated and high-risk sectors
Some capabilities touch regulated activity — health information, tenancy, workplace safety records, customs filings, financial reporting. Where they do:
- you remain the responsible party under the regulation that applies to you;
- you must obtain any licence, registration or professional accreditation the activity requires;
- you must not present platform output as professional advice — legal, medical, tax, customs or safety — where a qualified person is required to give it.
7. Resources and fair use
Storage, bandwidth, API calls, messages and AI usage are subject to the limits in your order form. If your usage threatens the stability of shared infrastructure, we may throttle it and will contact you to agree a plan that fits. We will always try to reach you before we restrict anything, except where the risk is immediate.
8. Data belonging to other people
- Only upload personal information you have a lawful basis to hold and to process on this platform.
- Do not upload special-category data — health, biometric, precise location, financial account details — into fields not designed for it.
- Grant your staff the least access their role requires, and remove access when they leave.
- Handle the access, correction and deletion requests you receive from your own customers. We will help you fulfil them.
9. How we enforce this
Where we believe this policy has been breached we will, proportionate to the seriousness and the risk:
- contact you and ask you to fix it;
- remove or disable specific content or a specific capability;
- throttle or suspend access;
- terminate the agreement under the Terms & Agreement;
- report the matter to law enforcement or a regulator where the law requires it.
We act immediately and without prior notice only where there is a risk to people, to other customers, or to the integrity of the platform. We will tell you what we did and why as soon as we reasonably can.
10. Reporting a problem
To report abuse, a security issue or content that breaches this policy, write to cwang@digitrend.ca with the URL or account concerned and enough detail for us to investigate. We acknowledge reports within one business day.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the platform grows and as the threat landscape changes. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes are notified before they take effect.
